Please Donate to Help Us Complete the Greenbelt in Garden City

Click the Donate button below to help us raise matching funds to Bridge the Gap in the Boise River Greenbelt at 52nd Street in Garden City. FACTS agreed with Ada County to raise match of  $17,710 by August 1, 2026, for bridge design, and $112,290 by August 1, 2027, for bridge construction, in order to draw on a federal grant of $2,181,000 that will be used by Ada County to design and build the bridge. Your tax-deductible donation will help us bridge one of the last significant and dangerous gaps in the existing Greenbelt serving Boise, Garden City, and Eagle. Please, share the word with friends and family and help us meet our goal. Visit our donation page for instructions on ways you can help us Bridge the Gap. Thanks!

FACTS Mission

The mission of FACTS volunteer membership is to close gaps in the greenbelt along the Boise River, creating connected pathways along the 64-mile route from the Lucky Peak Dam to the Snake River confluence, and to promote coherent corridors for active transportation throughout the valley.

One of our most pressing projects in 2026 is to “Bridge the Gap” in the Greenbelt at 52nd Street in Garden City by building a bridge across the Boise River to existing Greenbelt pathways on Plantation Island. The new bridge will eliminate a dangerous 1/2 mile detour on surface streets. Learn more about this project or make a donation.

Partner Agencies

FACTS board members are all volunteers, including private citizens and representatives from partner agencies, who meet monthly to discuss trail system connectivity issues in the Treasure Valley. Designing, building, managing, and maintaining the trail systems that interconnect throughout the valley can be quite complex. FACTS serves as a non-partisan platform where stakeholders come together to share information, ideas, project details, and best practices.
