Esther Simplot Park Detour

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department has made significant progress in repairing sections of the river bank damaged as a result of spring flooding. Contractors will be moving upstream to the area adjacent to Quinn’s Pond to perform repairs. As a result of this work, the Greenbelt will be closed starting January 2 from Main Street to Esther Simplot Park. Users will be detoured over the Main Street bridge and 36th Street Pedestrian bridge to the south side of the Greenbelt in Garden City as the work is completed. There will be heavy equipment in the area, so please follow the signed detour around the construction area. Work is estimated to be completed in early March.
